Why and How to Donate

ER&R is a locally-based organization dedicated to keeping harmful electronic waste components out of landfills. In the past 2 years, we have kept over 100,000 lbs of lead-based electronics waste out of landfills. These devices, when placed in landfills, can leak and poison our air, water supply, soil, and wildlife, wreaking havoc on our fragile environment. But it's easy for each person to make a difference by donating their unwanted electronics to ER&R.

We also accept monetary donations to help defray our operational costs. All donations are used to further ER&R's mission of recycling e-waste, keeping e-waste out of landfills and to "Save the planet one computer at a time". No donations are used for payroll.

It's easy! Everyone can make a difference. Here's how:

1) KEEP HARMFUL MATERIALS OUT OF LANDFILLS - bring old electronics to your local e-device recycler, ER&R in Stratford - it's FREE and tax-deductible:

- Computers and monitors

- TVs, VCRs, CD & DVD players

- Stereos and speakers

- Fax machines

- Copiers and printers

2) DONATE EQUIPMENT to help the ER&R Recycling Center serve the community

- Forklift and other items needed

3) VOLUNTEER YOUR TIME for this worthwhile cause and hone your personal skills! We will work with you to ensure a fulfilling, educational INTERNSHIP or VOLUNTEER experience in the area(s) of your interest. Possibilities include:

- Repair TVs and other electronics devices

- Dismantle computers

- Help organize inventory and run the warehouse

- Join the fund-raising efforts & help spread the word - Grant writing and research

- Accounting and administrative
